Seamless tank top is a kind of one-piece knitted garment manufactured by advanced circular knitting or 3D whole-garment knitting machines. Different from conventional cut-and-sew tank tops sewn with separate fabric panels, it is produced from raw yarn into finished apparel in one continuous knitting process, with no side seams, underarm stitching or back joint lines on the whole body. Only neckline and hem adopt minimal binding or heat-sealing finishing.
Traditional apparel production includes fabric cutting, edge locking and stitching assembly, where raised sewing threads always rub against skin and cause irritation especially during sports. Thanks to stitch-free integrated construction, seamless tank delivers second-skin invisible wearing experience. Originated from Italian Santoni seamless knitting technology in the 1990s, this technique was introduced into China's textile industry and has expanded from basic underwear to loungewear, yoga apparel, fitness wear and shapewear worldwide.
