If you often run marathons and seek a zero-friction, barely-there feel, just close your eyes and pick supima fabric. It's the material used for professional compression shorts and high-end racing pants, known among veteran runners as 'butter fabric'.
Nylon fibres are finer and smoother than polyester, feeling soft and skin-friendly, and they don't cling to your legs when wet. Highly tear-resistant and pill-resistant, they withstand long-distance repeated friction without irritating the skin. Combined with segmented high-elastic spandex, they provide precise gradient compression, firmly supporting calf and thigh muscles, reducing muscle bounce while running and easing post-run soreness.
The only downside: higher production costs, roughly 1.4 times the price of polyester-spandex fabric, so it's a priority pick for runners with a good budget who often run long distances.
